Challenge

Moss Warner Marketing Communications agency was asked to create a simulated Online Pickup Counter for online shopper marketing research at their client’s Shopper Insights Center. Moss Warner turned to IES Design to help in the development of merchandising space planning, structural, and brand concepts for the Online Pickup environment.

Solution

IES Design started with an analysis the space requirements and business needs. Then we provided three Online Pickup Counter options in 3D animation video format. The client was able to view realistic renderings of each option for the proposed environment and select which direction best suited their needs. These options included a variety of materials, lighting, hardware, merchandising fixtures, and signage suggestions. The video format also provided a platform for collaboration within the organization.

Result

The result is a retail space laboratory that provides a realistic environment for the consumer to engage in the online pickup process and for the researcher to accurately observe and analyze the consumer’s shopping patterns. The realistic environment provided the opportunity for the Insights Center researchers to uncover actionable consumer insights and define strategic growth opportunities.
